3/26/25 / Luke 12 / Hosea 14
Luke 12:49 I came to bring fire to the earth, and how i wish it were already kindled!
Hosea 14:1 Return, O Israel, to the Lord your God, for you have stumbled because of your iniquity. Take words with you and return to the Lord; say to him, Take away all guilt; accept that which is good, and we will offer the fruit of our lips. Assyria shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses; we will say no more, "Our God", to the work of our hands. In you the orphan finds mercy.
When Jesus says that he came to bring fire to the earth it is the Holy Fire of Heaven / the Holy Spirit that will burn away anything that is not of God / Aaron's sons found out this the hard way thinking that fire was just fire and it is not / the Holy Spirit helps us to return as the Redeemed, removing the stumbling of our iniquity.
Reading and praying the Word of God is the key when we are answering the call to the Lord / taking away all guilt / Jesus talked with the Disciples about the washing of the hands with the church leaders and explained that what was important to be clean was not the hands but the stuff that we speak from the heart and when this is purified by the Holy Fire it is the fruit that honors the Lord / no flesh or army will save us, it is Our God and not the work of our hands / we are the orphan that finds mercy when all we have is God / we stand in faith even when we have to stand alone like an orphan in our personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ
To apply this / i seek to stop the confusion of my heart over the fire and i seek to embrace the purifying heat that God brings to every issue that i face to help me stand in faith and in the truth of His Word so that i can honor Him walking out life with Him to honor Him for the grace and mercy
I believe that we are seeing right not that this Holy Fire is kindled / those around us are hungry for the change of letting go and seeking only what God is providing / I have seen this as they open their Bible and listen to what God is saying to them to bless their life and all that He has entrusted to us.
