11/2/25 Acts 27 / Daniel 10
Acts 27:11 But the officers in charge of the prisoners listened more to the ship's captain and the owner than to Paul.
Acts 27:30 Then the sailors tried to abandon the ship they lowered the life boat as though they were going to put out anchors from the front of the ship. But Paul said to the commanding officer and the soldiers. You will all die unless the sailors stay aboard. So the soldiers cut the ropes to the lifeboat and let it drift away.
Daniel 10:18 Then the one who looked like a man touched me again, and I felt my strength returning. Don't be afraid, he said, for you are very precious to God Peace! Be encouraged! Be Strong!
A ship captain and the owner would have no reason to ask or to listen to anyone about how to sail the ship or where to wait out the winter / their experence would out weigh what ever some one else would have to say and if they did start to listen or apply it would weaken their control based on their title or position
But what He is saying is that He is showing the power of faith / how did things change to where they all saw Paul as the leader in this storm? And you bring these two stories together and you see that in the storm of life / the one with the wind and waves that never stop it is the humble one of faith that will stand up to face it and lead others through it
To apply this / life is filled and overflowing with the storms that do not stop / the cancer and sickness / addictions / pain and lack but it is the broken that seeks the hand of God who will rise and stand in faith and i seek to be strong today and walk in the faith that will encourage the faith of others
We have been in a lot of places and we see and hear so much with all the junk the world has going right now but our focus must me on the will of God not my flesh
