Matthew 1 / Leviticus 3

Prayer / Thank you Jesus for the changes and the new paths I feel your with us in all that we are doing and facing / thank you for the covering over all that you have entrusted to us to led us closer to you / thank you for the understanding and the faith to stand strong and seek the ways to change and help others know you / Please open the doors today to the plans that you have and speak faith in to our lifes / please encourage us and show us the ways to share Salvation and bless those around us / please lead us in to the paths of faith and find the support and the help to farther the Kingdom

Matthew 1:18 This is how Jesus the Messiah was born His mother Mary was engaged to be married to Joseph but before the marriage took place while she was still a virgin she became pregnant through the power of the Holy Spirit

Leviticus 3:1 If you present an animal from the herd as a peace offering to the Lord it may be a male or a female but it must have no defects

To be a virgin means to have no defects / Mary was like the fisherman that Jesus used, a simple girl a female from the herd someone that God could use to truly honor His Name as He brought the Messiah in to the world

Joseph is important to the story because God used him to offer Mary / he was the covering and the Holy Spirit explained all of this to Him in a way that balanced all of the emotions of the laws of man and let him in to the will of God

To apply this it is encouraging to see again that God is God / He uses the simple / those that will listen and obey / i need to open my heart and listen to the plans and offer all i have to His plans to farther the Kingdom of God

There is a lot in life when you start to see Gods hand / we are not all virgins any longer in the sex side of stuff but our hearts can be opened to the power of the Holy Spirit and be useful when offered to Him
