Ezekiel 2:⁶“Son of man, do not fear them or their words. Don’t be afraid even though their threats surround you like nettles and briers and stinging scorpions. Do not be dismayed by their dark scowls, even though they are rebels.

Father God never sends us on a task unequipped. Never. In our various callings, God grants us everything needed to succeed.

How my steps will impact others is a partial choice of my own actions. I have to choose to make positive and productive ripples. How God uses those, is in His own perfect plans and timing. Nothing of man’s.

I need to constantly be maintaining the foundational basics I already have. I need to be consistent in my self evaluations of my alignment, balance, and heart condition. Adjusting each as needed. I need to remain steadfast in my faith, Hope, expectations, and trust in God during all times. Traveling God’s roadway is more complex, difficult, and tiring than not following it. But, God! He makes it all doable. He equips, protects, provides, strengthens, and encourages. All in innumerable and incomprehensible ways.

I not only have to be an active participant in my personal relationship with God, but I also have to be consistent in my steps, humble, and transparent. Honor, integrity, and respect are all pieces of that come from those aspects.

Being Holy is not about wearing a costume to a church once or twice a week. The Hebrew word for holy is “qodesh” which means “apartness, sacredness, or separateness.” We are tasked to be set apart from the world and its designs and practices.

I am not better than anyone else. I am not on some higher plain than anyone else. But, I am not worse than anyone else either. We are all dust and bones that are broken, flawed, jacked up, and inherently sinful.

But, God! His unconditional Love covers each and every single one of us. We are all His adopted children. As His children we are entitled to God’s inheritance. To receive it, the process of traveling God’s roadway requires us to be actively engaged and recognizably set apart. Consistently. Transparently. Daily.

The steps that I take matter. The impacts and ripples that I create matter. It’s up to my free will choices to choose what type of ripples I want to create.

I need to be constantly self evaluating my own alignment, balance, and heart condition. Consistently. If one of them off and not working properly, it affects the others. Just like any other types of machines, the cascade effects could cause disaster and destruction of the whole.

I have to also be aware of the condition of my heart. I cannot allow stupid human nature inside to dictate my steps. I cannot allow the confusion, doubt, noise, or static from darkness to direct my decisions. God is who I report to. He is the One who issues the tasks. So, remaining steadfast in my faith, Hope, expectations, and trust in Him is my duty. God provides the desire and grit to keep pressing forward.
